The Mladá Boleslav team missed Johana, Hrdlička, Kysela and Zahustel due to injuries. Also the forward Bulut was missing, having left for Australia to play for the national team and to clear some matters concerning his visa. And therefore the 18 year old Marek Volf traveled with the team to Olomouc and enjoyed his first start in the Gambrinus League.

Olomouc started the first half offensively, which was expected. It wasn't until the 9th minute that Mladá Boleslav got within shooting distance of their rival's goal. Kalina's weak shot was however easily gathered by Drobisz. But Miller was more busy. Mladá Boleslav's goalkeeper saved numerous shots from Hubník, and further attacks were successfully defended by Rolko and Dimitrovski, before the Olomouc captain Škerle missed a clear chance on goal.
In the 21st minute, Mladá Boleslav won the first corner kick. Opiela took the corner and his chipped cross fell to Táborský, whose left-foot shot hit cannoned off the right goalpost of Drobisz's goal from twenty meters.
Just as Mladá Boleslav seemed to get back on even terms they came close to conceding a goal. In the 33rd minute Navrátil slipped through the middle of the Mladá Boleslav defence, ran the ball past Miller, but somehow missed the unguarded goal.
Both teams managed to make the halftime break surviving one more chance to score. A quick attack by Olomouc ended with Hubník's poisonous low shot just missing to the right hand side of the goalpost. Then Procházka's pass found the run of Chramosta but the alert Drobisz came off his line and eliminated any chance to score a goal.

The second half started with chances to score by Olomouc. One was by way of a free kick awarded by the referee Příhoda after a duel between Dimitrovski and Navrátil. Vepřek fired a low shot into a knot of players near the penalty area, but Miller was ready and kicked the ball away with his leg. In the 53rd minute, Miller punched Hubník's cross to Navrátil, who shot the ball over the flattened goalkeeper but also over the crossbar. On the other side, after Táborský's free kick, Procházka saw his powerful header miraculously saved by Drobisz as he turned the ball away for a corner kick.
In the 72nd minute, Mladá Boleslav survived some intensive pressure from its rival thanks to a defensive header by Rolko, an excellent performance by Miller and a goal-line header by Dimitrovski. Three minutes before the end, a recovered and fresh Ordoš took a shot from the edge of the penalty area which rebounded off the right goalpost but Miller was alert and saved a sure goal when he knocked the ball out for a corner kick.
The drama ended without a winner. Olomouc dropped two points on their home pitch as Mladá Boleslav gained a point away from home. This point will show its value if the players go on to win their return match at home.
