Mladá Boleslav lost in the last minute

Two teams, neither of which has lost a game during the previous four league rounds, played against each other. Mladá Boleslav arrived in Prague on the back of three wins and one draw, and as leaders of the Gambrinus League. Sparta, with one win and three draws from the last four matches, was currently seventh in the league table. Sparta remained unbeaten even though it looked as if the game would end with a draw for a long time.

During the first half the defence of both teams made sure their rivals had no chance of creating any scoring opportunities. The Spartan's tried a number of long shots. Shots by Wilfried, Zeman and Kušnír posed little threat to Vorel, and they usually flew wide of the Mladá Boleslav goal in any case. The most dangerous situation occurred from Pamič's unsuccessful cross, which he curled below the crossbar only to see the attentive Vorel punch it out for a corner.

The Spartan's showed more energy in attack than Mladá Boleslav before half-time. Pecka, Mendy and Rajnoch had several chances in front of the Spartan goal but the experienced goalkeeper Blažek blocked these with ease.

We saw a more impressive game in the second half.

During the 52^nd minute, following a one-two pass with Pecka in midfield, Kulič penetrated through the Spartan half but his shot flew inches wide of Blazek's right-hand post.

After an hour's play Sparta forced a number of serious chances to score. Kušnír's cross in front of Prudnikov was covered by Vorel. Wilfred's infiltration into Mladá Boleslav team's penalty area ended with a volley by Prudnikov, but Procházka blocked it in the penalty area and Sylvestre took no chances and kicked the ball out of play. Following more interplay with Wilfried, Prudnikov aimed the ball inches wide of the right-hand post from the edge of the penalty area. In the 66^th minute Pamičov blasted the ball just over the cross bar of the Mladá Boleslav goal.

During the 89^th minute, following good play by Kulič, Chramosta also had a chance, but he failed to hit the ball properly. In spite of this Blažek was lucky to block the ball at the cost of a corner.

In the final minute of the game, following Žofčákov's build up play and cross from the right side, Kadlec blasted the ball behind Vorel's back from the penalty area just inside the left-hand post - 1:0.
