Papadopulos and Řezníček close the autumn account

The suspended Procházka and Rajnoch were missing as was the injured Hrdlička. Rolko came into the defence for Procházka and Opiela played in the centre of the midfield line, alongside an unexpectedly defensive Pecka who took over the captain’s armband from Rajnoch. Papadopulos was left to operate in a lone role in the forward line but was joined by Sylvestre frequently. After a nervous performance in the first half, the players turned their tactical plans into a win after the break with Papadopulos set up by Mendy and later a great finish from Řezníček after being played in by Opiela found him on the score sheet as well.

The Zlín players started the match better and controlled the ball with the result seeing the play camped mostly in Mladá Boleslav's half of the pitch. The Boleslav player's first real attack didn't come until the 17^th minute when Papadopulos headed the ball goalward after a centred pass by Mach. The home side's play saw them win the first half corner count 3:1 but both teams failed to trouble the scorer.

The match and the score changed after the break when in the 54^th minute, Mendy penetrated down the right-hand wing and sent a perfect pass across the front of the Zlín goal. The inch perfect delivery found a heavily marked Papadopulos who managed to beat the defender and find the back of the net – 0:1. Head-coach Hapal substituted Papadopulos for Řezníček in the 81^st minute and not to be outdone, he confirmed the win with a master goal. In the 84^th minute Opiela robbed Zlín’s Kraus of the ball and knocked his pass into the path of Řezníček. The goalkeeper Baránek raced out of the penalty area towards the onrushing striker but he failed to win the ball and could only watch helplessly as the Boleslav forward's lob found the open goal – 0:2.

The Boleslav players kept the Zlín keeper busy in goal and forced him into some fine saves, first from a shot from an acute angle by Mendy in the 61^st minute and then in the 74^th minute through a well taken free kick by Sylvestre. Řezníček again went close after a pass from Pecka in extra time, but this time, he was unsuccessful.
