Rajnoch Procures Desirable Three Points

The Boleslav football team delighted in a three-point gain after almost a six-month drought. After the win against Bohemians on September 30 last year, this happened in the František Kloz stadium in Kladno only in the last February weekend of this year. Above all, captain Jan Rajnoch was mostly responsible for the win in a fierce struggle. However, for most of the match, the performance of the Boleslav team suffered from inaccuracies resulting from both the importance of the match and a poor pitch in the same extent. Mladá Boleslav moved up in the league standings from tenth to seventh position thanks to the win in Kladno.

The Boleslav team started the match in Kladno as well as the home match against Jablonec a week ago. Hodúr took a corner kick in the 8th minute and the Kladno defenders unexpectedly provided Rajnoch with plenty of free area and time for him to score over the head with his back facing the goal– 0:1.

The injured stopper Hochmeister, who had to be substituted in the seventeenth minute by Beneš, was another disaster for the Kladno defence. But the Kladno team recovered, consolidated their efforts and prepared several scoring chances, including six corner kicks.
Pižanowski excellently rebounded a nice smashing shot by Kroupa at the right-hand post in the 23rd minute. The Boleslav goalkeeper was successful in the same way in the 28th minute after a free kick taken by Cigánek. But Pižanowski also had good luck in the case of a header by Kroupa three minutes before the break, when he did not reach the ball and it just cleared the top right-hand corner of the goal.
Indications of Boleslav attacks ended with either offside or inaccurate passes or weak termination in the penalty area. Rajnoch missed the goal from a long distance and centre passes by Kalina and Řezníček a while later did not find a team-mate.

Kladno forced area dominance for many minutes after the break, but only Jablonský in the 63rd minute was as close to an equalizing goal as Kroupa repeatedly in the first half. He ran alone against Pižanowski after a quickly taken free kick but the Boleslav goalkeeper defeated a clear scoring chance by a courageous jump under the legs of the Kladno player. Neither Kysela nor Řezníček were successful in the infrequent Boleslav attacks at the opening of the second half. A striking attempt by Rajnoch cleared the Kladno goal by two metres. Holub, who was appearing in his 300th league match, was also unable to change the tight lead or to provide more calm. He participated in an offensive effort that ended in an unutilised centre pass by Sedláček from the right-hand side just before the end of the match.
