We Start the Spring League Season in Plzeň

Mladá Boleslav will enter league struggles with the new stopper Kopic. Nečas and Dittrich and potentially the juniors Pára and Fabián will be other novices in nomination for the match in Plzeň. When compared with the line-up against Plzeň from the last year, Šmerda (Příbram), Brezinský (Liberec), Vít (Jihlava), Riegel (convalescence after operation) and Kulič (Sparta) will be absent from the shirt of Mladá Boleslav. The team of Mladá Boleslav played in the following line-up in that match: Miller - Šmerda, Brezinský, Vít, Palát - Kysela (65. Holub), Matějovský (42. Riegel), Abraham, Poláček (78. The forward of Mladá Boleslav sent the ball rebounded by the goalkeeper after the penalty kick over the crossbar. The players of Plzeň were most closely to scoring in the 75th minute when Limberský hit the crossbar of the Miller's goal.
The head-coach of Mladá Boleslav Dušan Uhrin criticized the brutal style of the Plzeň team with irritated voice after the match. His counterpart from Plzeň Michal Bílek did not accept the reproaches and branded the playing style of his team as stressing without maliciousness. Bílek was satisfied with one point obtained; on the contrary, Uhrin was very disappointed with a two-point loss at the beginning of the new season.
FC Viktoria Plzeň is on the tenth position with a passive score difference 18:20 and with twenty-one points gained in the league standings. The team lost twelve points in eight autumn home matches. Plzeň lost against Sparta Prague 0:1, defeated Teplice and Olomouc 2:0, lost unexpectedly heavily 0:4 the match against Slavia Prague and tied the matches against Brno, Most and Kladno 1:1 and defeated Příbram 2:0.
Plzeň started this winter preparation under the head-coach Levý by participation in hall tournaments in German towns of Ingolstadt and Riese. Then the team lost in preparation matches against 2:4 at first and then progressively defeated Králův Dvůr 6:0, Klatovy 4:0, Most 2:1, Blšany 1:0 and lost against Teplice 0:1, Kladno 1:2 and Karlovy Vary 0:1. During a training camp in Turkey, the team defeated Ukrainian Stal Alčevsk 3:1, Russian Torpedo Moscow 3:2 and tied with Danish FC Midtjylland 1:1.
The best winter scorer of the Plzeň team has become Fillo, who was lured by Mladá Boleslav in its shirt unsuccessfully, with five goals. Borek with three goals, Jarolím and Rada (two goals), Manowetz, Bahleda, Razím, Limberský, Veselý, Javorský, Róth, R. Pilař, Malcharek, Trapp and Malár (all one goal) also contributed to scoring statistics during the winter preparation period.
