Uhrin: We have Good Team and we would Like to Play for European Cups

The head-coach of Mladá Boleslav liked that the matches in Cyprus were played in good pace. "We had poor second half only in the match against Rapid Bucharest, but we played quality matches," he summarized four international duels within the training camp in Cyprus. Mladá Boleslav tied the match against Levski Sofia 2:2, lost with Rapid Bucharest 0:3, tied with Cracovia Krakow 0:0 and won against Universitatea Cluj 2:1. Three matches with the rivals from the second league (Bohemians 1905, FK Ústí nad Labem, Viktorie Žižkov) will be used for tuning the form during the remaining time before start of the spring season. It is high time to put together the basic line up for league matches. "Nobody has his place definite," responded Uhrin to a question for the basic line up for the spring championship season.
How do you cope with leaving of the forward Marek Kulič?
"We have another experienced player for the first line, Radim Holub. And Mikolanda and Kysela also have shown good performances as forwards .I will see who of the players will get in the best shape. And I will learn whether anybody substitute Kulič or not only in championship matches."
Have you considered a change of playing style?
We will not change our playing style. I am looking for a suitable alternative to Pecka and I will decide about composition of the first line also according to the rival against whom we will play."
Who will be a captain of the team and how the voting will take place?
"I will propose candidates and the players will select from them. The captain for the spring season can be for example Matějovský, Abraham, Pecka, Miller and Holub."
Do you count with Holub in the basic line up then?
"Holub passed winter preparation after a longer time and this is actually for the first time during his contract in Mladá Boleslav when he suffered no injury. He passed the preparation well, however, some fatigue can be seen on him but it progressively will fade away. No player in our team has such skill in selection of place and termination, I would say that he is even the best player in the league in this respect. It may happen that he will appear in the basic line up."
What are your sport objectives for the spring season?
„Even if Kulič from the first line and Brezinský from defence left, we have a high-quality team so that we want to play for qualifying in European cups again."
Are you disappointed that the reinforcement according to your requirements and ideas failed?
"We were interested in some players, e.g. Fillo, Vidlička and Ivana but the managements of the clubs failed to reach an agreement."
Where do you see the strong points of the team of Mladá Boleslav for the spring season?
"The strongest point of Mladá Boleslav consists in the midfield line where we have very good players and if we manage to find a good partner for Pecka, then also our forward line will be very good. We laid much emphasis on defence activities in preparation period, we aimed at attacking only in its conclusion."
