Head-Coach Dušan Uhrin: I Would Like to Keep the Successful Team Together

The head-coach Dušan Uhrin enjoyed football pleasure repeatedly during 2006, however, he did not hide some disappointment at general assessment. "I was most satisfied after the win against Liberec ensuring the second position in the league standings and then after qualifying through Olympique Marseille. But after end of the season, memories to these pleasant feelings mix with disappointment that we did not manage to qualify from the group of the UEFA Cup in the spring stage of the UEFA Cup and did not keep better position in the top of the league," admitted Uhrin.
He enjoyed Christmas days in Prague but he also undertook a ski trip in the Alps in consequent free days. After a New Year's Eve toast together with his close relatives, he will start thinking over winter preparation. It will start on January 10, 2007 when the coaches will meet with the players in the premises of Mladá Boleslav Municipal Stadium for the first time in new year. The preparation will include a fitness training camp in Nymburk, high-quality hall tournament in Prague Sazka Arena, matches within the Tipsport Cup on the artificial pitch in the premises of the Mladá Boleslav Municipal Stadium and ten-day long playing camp in Cyprus where the team will depart on February 8, 2007 and will play three or four international matches. And what squad will participate in the preparation? "We will try to keep the players who have done so much for Mladá Boleslav so far," indicated Uhrin that his primary interest is keeping the successful team together. By saying this, he also does not exclude potential strengthening.
