Luboš Pecka leads the standings of the league top scorers

Pecka was chased by journalists on Sunday. They wanted to know how he felt in the role of the fresh best league scorer. "I am not still the best scorer, I only lead the standings of scorers but it would certainly be pleasant if I would be on the top also after the last round of the season," said Luboš Pecka after the match against České Budějovice. Together with the national team player Marek Kulič, they have created the most striking couple in the Czech league. "I always want to score when I go on the pitch regardless of what kind of rival stands against us. The complete team help me but I benefit most of the passes of Kulič," added Pecka. And does not Kulič regret that Pecka scores one goal after another with his help and that he alone fails to turn his scoring bad luck? "Not a bit of it, thank heavens that he scores and I wish him to continue, the main thing is that the team wins rather than who scores goals," said Marek Kulič and indicated that Pecka can count with his passes also in future football battles.
Luboš Pecka has scored seven goals in the ten league matches played so far. This is fair performance. The second top scorer is David Střihavka (Baník Ostrava) with six goals while the third position occupy Libor Došek (Sparta Praha), Pavel Fořt (Slavia Praha), Michal Gašparík (Most), David Lafata (Jablonec) and Ladislav Volešák (České Budějovice) who got to this position after two goals scored in the net of Mladá Boleslav. Other three players scored four times: Luděk Zelenka (Brno), Petr Papoušek (Liberec) and Edin Džeko (Teplice). Radim Holub from Mladá Boleslav belongs among the six players with three scored goals.
