Against Plzeň, the coach Karel Stanner used the exact same team as in Olomouc. After this year's first win achieved in the Haná region, he adhered to the old football axiom that a winning team should not be changed. The players of Mlada Boleslav deserved to win this impressive football performance, levelling Ostrava and keeping in touch with the top teams of Gambrinus League. They succeeded in giving a really a worthy cheerio to their fans, as it was the last league home match in 2009.
The Boleslav players won a tough league match against a quickly sinking opponent when they maintained their three-goal average from the last three league matches. Marek Kulič, who scored a brace, was a big personality of the match. Tomáš Fabián scored his first league goal on the Budějovice pitch while the junior international, Jan Bořil, appeared for the first time in a Gambrinus liga match.
The Boleslav players won an important match against a very strong rival with Švancara, Zelenka and Urbánek all turning in experienced performances. However, after clearly winning the first half, the match ended dramatically as both the players and the crowd feared for the points in the final minutes.
The crowd saw four goals and the points shared in a match between two of the most productive teams of the first third of Gambrinus liga. Teplice finished the match without Mareš who was sent off, however, Boleslav did not utilise the power play; on the contrary, the team had to resist the pressure of the weakened home team.
