Pilsen started confidently, as was expected from the leading team of the Gambrinus league. From the first minute they chased the Boleslav defence and pushed goalie Miller hard. Boleslav players had to sometimes resort to random clearances. However, none of the Pilsen cannoneers, who are currently one of the best in the league, scored. On the other side, Chramosta did score.
In the 20th minute Procházka sent a nice pass along the right wing to Chramosta who, after tricking his way into the penalty area, fired a low shot across the goal past the goalie Pavlík - 1:0.

Pilsen replied immediately. A free kick was awarded after a duel of Opiela with Horváth was hit by the Pilsen captain across the Boleslav goal where Jiráček sent a header only a couple of centimetres above the cross-bar. The Boleslav team continued to be dangerous. Fabián's cross did not find a teammate, and after Procházka's centre, Táborský overshot from ten metres.
In the 33rd minute Kulič took the first Boleslav corner. He played it to Opiela who caused commotion near Pilsen's right goalpost by a pass in front of the goal. Pavlík and his teammates withstood it, even though they have no idea how. However, Boleslav maintained the attack. Opiela returned the ball into Pilsen's penalty area where Rolko radically ruffled the net behind Pavlík - 2:0.

Three minutes after the second goal Chramosta had a chance after a clever chip from Dimitrovski, but Pavlík run out in time and won the duel with the Boleslav forward. Pilsen attacked and in the 38th minute scored when Limberský made it to by-line and with a low backwards cross found Petržela, who was not closed down quickly enough by Fabián, and the striker shot through an unprotected Miller - 2:1.
Before halftime Pilsen wasted two chances for an equaliser and Boleslav one to forge further ahead. Even though Fabián headed Horváth's cross away from the goal, Rada's first time strike flew narrowly over the bar. In the following attack, Jiráček made it through Kalina and his shot or a centre from an angle was knocked away from the right goalpost by the falling Miller but Kolář's overshot an uncovered Boleslav goal. A strong challenge saw Táborský win the ball and direct a perfect ball to Chramosta in the Pilsen penalty area however, he missed the goal because of his hot-headed finish.

The second half continued with the offensive play of all the participants. Fabián lost his duel with Petržela, and after the Kolář's tap, Rada shot over. On the other side, Kulič got rid of Navrátil in front of the penalty area via a quick turn but he recovered and did not allow him to shoot.

In the 58th minute, Bystroň knocked down Procházka who was attempting to chest the ball down in the Pilsen penalty area. The referee did not hesitate and ordered a penalty kick. It was taken in the 59th minute with confidence by Táborský - 3:1.
Pilsen pegged the lead back to a one-goal difference again. In the 61st minute, after a Horváth free kick, Rada took advantage of his bearings in a goal area barrage and his header decreased the lead to 3:2. The exchange was not finished yet. In the 69th minute Táborský's corner fell through a thicket of bodies to Dimitrovski who scored his first goal in the Gambrinus league with a back heel. - 4:2.

Two further Táborský free kicks followed, and a contested shooting attempt by Procházka were defended well by Pilsen. In the 75th minute, Horváth centred from the left and Rada sent a successful header to the right goalpost. However, Miller famously rushed forth and prevented a goal that was almost certain.
In the 81st minute a solo run saw Ďuriš smash a ball against the Boleslav cross-bar. One minute later Rada sent an arching Horváth cross goalbound with a neat header.  Pilsen kept pushing offensively. Dimitrovski stopped a nice move at the last moment at the price of injury. However, he returned to the match after treatment.

In the 86th minute Horváth took another of his many free kicks on the edge of the penalty area. Miller deflected his shot but a trio of pressing Pilsen players saw Rajtoral reach the ball first and fire the ball into the Boleslav net - 4:3.
In the next to last minute of the basic game time, Miller again saved another Horváth free kick. In the four-minutes of extra time there were a lot of emotions on the playing field, as well as in the crowd, but the much ended well for Mladá Boleslav. It rightly took the scalp of the first-placed Pilsen, the autumn leader of the Gambrinus league.
