Mladá Boleslav did not win any of four matches and scored the least number of goals of all participants of the group G of the UEFA Cup. These are the main causes of eliminating from the European cup. Three ties and one defeat were enough only for the last fifth position. Rapid Bucharest that also did not win any match and tied all four matches was ranked on the fourth position. The Rumanian quarterfinalist of the last year of the UEFA Cup and the seventh team of the world ranking of football clubs according to IFFHS was eliminated, too.
