Series of Defeats Continues, the Team Lost Two Matches Again

Endurance and above all the first mistake in a penalty area decided before empty stands and under continuing raining and wind on the wet pitch. Unfortunately, Mladá Boleslav made such mistake. It took noticeably more time for the team of Boleslav to get in operational temperature. Ostrava players started more actively and Mičola punished hesitation of the defence of Mladá Boleslav already in the 6th minute - 0:1. The goal was preceded by slack movements of Vít and Šmerda in front of the goalkeeper Miller, who managed to check the shot of Mičola only partially but he could not prevent in goal. Playing took place on the half of Mladá Boleslav for almost a half of an hour. Boleslav team got in the first good scoring chance, which could result in equalization, in the 26th minute. Quick combination along the left-hand side was topped by Vaculík's penetration in the penalty area where he passed the ball to Kulič in a better position but he, standing alone in front of the goalkeeper Raška, missed the goal. "It is necessary to score from such chances," admitted the captain of the team self-critically. Referees then stopped two promising breaks after perpendicular passes of Matějovský because of offside shortly before the end of the first half.
Mladá Boleslav started the second half more ragingly. Vaculík could equalize twice but the ball ended out of the pitch at the critical moment after a quick return pass from Kulič in the 53rd minute at first and then in the 64th minute, he selected a sidestep to the defender Marek and Raška going out of the goal instead of a shot and the goalkeeper of Ostrava managed to divert the ball and to force the Boleslav's player out of striking position. Riskiness of the playing style of the Mladá Boleslav team increased with coming conclusion of the match. However, an equalizing goal did not come and on the contrary, Střihavka who got to the ball by a decisive moment sooner than the defender Ševinský headed Metelka's centre pass behind Miller successively in the 78th minute - 2:0. Substitutions of three players by fresh Sedláček, Holub and Rolko whose goal was denied because of offside also did not lead to a change in the final score. The goalkeeper Miller saved magnificently twice in clear chances of Varadi and Střihavka in final minutes.
