Uhrin: We decided in the first match
The coach of Mladá Boleslav came at the press conference held in the elegant and purposeful press room of Ullevaal stadium in a smart suit while his counterpart Rekdal dashed into the press centre wearing a sweat through sport T-shirt and short trousers. Instead of conceited superiority, he was trembling with hardly hidden anger when he congratulated to his more successful counterpart on promotion.

Mladá Boleslav tied in Oslo and goes through
The players of Mladá Boleslav achieved a very valuable draw in the Norwegian capital that is sufficient for them for advance from the second in the third pre-qualification round of the Champions League after home win. After the Norwegian champion, the Turkish champion Galatasaray Istanbul is ahead of them. Abrahám (sending off) and Palát (second yellow card) will miss the first match.

Successful striker’s come back
Marek Kulič is the second best after Radim Holub in the Mladá Boleslav shirt as to the number of league matches played and goals scored. They are friends and when they came in Mladá Boleslav in the last year, they planned to play together as forwards and to score many goals. Kulič looked forward to preparing chances for his mate while Holub to approaching slowly and steadily to the wished-for one-hundred-goal milestone of the league strikes. However, Holub was set back by a heavy injury suffered during the last autumn. His cross ligament in an operated knee failed so that the player had to pass another surgery again.

Holub scored after four minutes on the pitch
The players of Mladá Boleslav showed excellent performance like a big team in league opening. They struggled against their own fatigue, stubborn rival as well as a fallible referee. But they succeeded in overcoming all such obstacles. For all that, they deserved three points and proper ovation of the satisfied audience who also booed the referee out of stage with pleasure. Not only for his ordering a penalty against Mladá Boleslav in the first half, but mainly for denying the home team a penalty kick after the break.

Poláček from Sparta shall make the left side of the line-up stronger
At the last moment before closing the list for the second preliminary round of the Champions' League Mladá Boleslav got the twenty-five years old Tomáš Poláček from Sparta Prague. He comes as a considerable reinforcement of the left side of Uhrin's line-up just before the first match of the second preliminary round of the Champions' League with the Norwegian champion Valarenga IF Oslo. He attended the first morning training with FK Mladá Boleslav on Friday, July 21, at Mladá Boleslav City Stadium.
